- As from 2009, the start was moved from Low Head, at the mouth of the Tamar River, to off Inspection Head wharf at Beauty Point, giving the race an official distance of 285 nautical miles.
- The official race record is 1 day 12 hours 18 minutes and 35 seconds, set by The Fork in the Road in 2014.
- For the 2015 race, the Race Committee will have the power to move the start line down the river towards Low Head in the event of light winds.
- Under L2H race rules, the Overall winner is the yacht with the lowest corrected time under AMS rated handicaps. Since 2011, the Overall winner is also eligible to win the trophy for first place in the AMS division.
